SYBERG AUTOPILOT SAFETY SYSTEM (SASS)
FOR DNV NAUT-AW CLASS VESSELS.
According to Rules for classification of ships, July 2011

If the autopilot fails when in auto/track, the SASS will automatically take over by activation
of relay K1+K2, and keep the vessel on the last ROT value.
SASS will remain active until OOW (Officer On Watch) take over manual steering (NFU/FU)
by the steering control.
