Integrated Bridge and Navigation System (Synapsis Bridge Control)
Integrated Bridge and Navigation Systems (IBS / INS) from Raytheon Anschütz provide excellence performance and reliable navigation under all conditions by integrating well-proven, harmonizing equipment.
Synapsis Intelligent Bridge Control
Raytheon Anschütz Integrated Navigation Systems (INS) are professional navigation solutions, which have been proven throughout the years in more than 650 commercial installations around the world. Synapsis Bridge Control is the latest generation of Raytheon Anschütz Integrated Navigation
Synapsis is the world's first INS, which has been type-approved according to IMO's new INS Performance Standards. Read the news or download the type approval!
The latest version of an Integrated Bridge and Navigation System, features new wide-screen, task-orientated Multifunctional Workstations. Using standard hardware and software, the workstations allows for full scalability and future expandability. Possible configurations are ranging from a stand-alone ECDIS workplace to a full integrated workstation that provides access to all nautical tasks such as route monitoring, collision avoidance, navigation control, status and data display or alarm monitoring. A central change of display color schemes as well as central dimming can be processed from any workstation within the bridge system.
The configurations and tasks of the workstations are controlled by a newly developed Bridge Integration Platform. The platform provides common interfaces to further ship systems that enable the integration of additional applications such as automation, DP system or CCTV from various suppliers on the Multifunctional Workstations.
Within the navigation system, all data is distributed by a dual Ethernet bus to be stored independently at any workstation. Having all information consistently available throughout the whole navigation network also allows creating new display pages with respect to individual requirements. In conjunction with our autopilot series, the Integrated Bridge and Navigation Systems allow qualified track control while the radar or ECDIS screen is being watched, thus achieving a higher level of navigation system integration.
Reliable sensors support the core navigation system with all relevant data, which is distributed and monitored by a fully redundant data and alarm management system. Radio communication systems according to GMDSS can be added to the Integrated Bridge and Navigation System.
New System Architecture
Full flexibility to meet individual needs
In general, all necessary data for the core navigation system are provided by a complete suite of high performance and reliable sensors (e.g. Sensitive Radar Tracker and Anschütz Gyro Compass). The Consistent Common Reference System (CCRS) continuously monitors, quality rates and automatically distributes the best set of sensor data to all connected workstations using the dual Navigation Ethernet Bus.
In addition to the CCRS the innovative Bridge Integration Platform features the task and configuration management, the backup and redundancy management, as well as the management of color schemes and dimming. All navigation information such as routes, charts, track and sensor data is shared and distributed by the dual Ethernet bus and independently stored and processed at each workstations, whereas new workstations receive their configuration and all needed navigation data from the network fully automatically.
Multifunction Workstations are available in various configurations, from stand-alone workstations to fully integrated workstations that provide all nautical tasks as well as further applications such as CCTV, DP system and Automation. The modular system architecture allows for highest flexibility in individual bridge configurations as well as for highest flexibility with regard to future upgrades or extensions.
